Why Should I Raise My Property?
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) claims that: Along the Gulf Coast, a storm surge is the number one danger to life and property. New Orleans is in the path of hurricanes, naturally, but also, other factors intensify the problems of these events. Hurricanes like Katrina, Ike, and Gustav have exposed the vulnerability of New Orleans’ city.

New Orleans is shaped like a bowl Because most residents know. If there is a storm surge produced through a hurricane, water can flood and stay in the bowl until the pumps eliminate the excess water. The severe flooding during Hurricane Katrina even compelled homes to be hauled away. It was damaged and, often, beyond repair if a house was not swept away.

The town of New Orleans and all of the surrounding regions felt an extreme pressure to provide a solution for local homeowners. House Raising, and alongside the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) that coincides are just the solutions you are looking for.

Does the question then become?
The Solution is ACE House Raising! We will happily direct you through the entire process of elevating & lifting your house. At ACE House Raising, we run a thorough process. This usually means you will never be left in the dark. We will be by your side throughout the whole process –before and after your home-raising. Pay Attention
Home foundation repair is essential for your house. It needs to be taken care of as soon as possible. Think of these as warning signals of something more severe, although some cracks in the foundation might not seem like a big deal. Your home’s foundation might not be in any danger of crumbling to dust in the immediate future if you want to avoid major foundation problems, but any signs you may need foundation crack repair ought to be relied upon immediately.

On the flip side, if you start to detect minor cracks, you might not jump to fix it immediately. After all, all houses are anticipated to settle a little. What’s more, a tiny crack that appears on your concrete does not mean your house is in danger of falling soon. Basement crack fix might be one of those things you’d file under”keep your eye on it” instead of”call someone tomorrow” but that can be the wrong thought.

Here are some of the top reasons why you always need to make foundation repair a top priority:
The weather triggers your house to transfer a small-but-significant amount, rising during ones and sinking during hotter months. This motion can wreak havoc on your plumbing if you don’t tackle any foundation repairs that are needed right away — placing strain on your pipes and causing them to burst. This means water pouring into the construction of your house and repair bills that are significant.

Settling Affects More Than the Foundation
It’s more than your foundation that suffers when your house starts sinking or settling into an excessive level. If your residence is shifting, it may mean harm to window wells, door frames, and sheetrock. Repairs base problems mean you won’t have to worry about any of these secondary repairs.

It Saves You Time and Money
Perhaps the most significant reason to get your foundation repairs sooner rather than later is cost. It gets worse when you wait Though foundation repair may be more expensive than you are expecting. Along with labor and material prices continuing to rise, the more you wait to fix cracks in the foundation, the worse they will receive. This is especially true when you are planning on selling your home or making any significant home improvements. Ignoring the need for base repairs today will make those jobs much harder and result in function to be carried out.

What To Look For In A Foundation Contractor In 2020

Your Business and your home are far too important to trust to just anyone. Unfortunately, a lot of scam artists are more than prepared to take your cash and deliver substandard work which won’t solve your base’s issues. When Looking for a foundation contractor to Look after your home, there are several factors you Want to Search for that will help you separate the reputable contractors from the fly-by-night crawlers — without nothing qualifying them to the occupation but a truck along with a shovel

Check testimonials. This is probably the most important thing to do when seeking a general contractor because a good one will have lots of reviews, be suspicious if they will not provide you with the names and telephone numbers of clients. Cut them loose, if they all want to do is refer you to online reviews — anybody can fake an internet testimonial.

Explore online. The advent of online review sites like, Angie’s List, Better Business Bureau, and Google Plus have made it extremely easy for customers to find out which contractors in their area come highly recommended. Read all the reviews. Pay attention the contractor has received, and it was responded to by the contractor, if at all.

Ask for insurance and licenses. Contractors should be prepared and willing to offer you a proof of license and insurance, but it pays to verify that info. Check with your state’s division of licensing or work for the board. For insurance, please contact the provider and verify that the contractor is up to date with all insurance for property damage and worker accidents.

Shop around. There is nothing that says you’ve got to decide on the first contractor to give you an estimate before selecting a contractor to ask for second and third opinions. Contractors are professionals, and they know this is part of conducting business. They also should not be attempting to pressure you into hiring them. Scare tactics and sales pitches are signals that the contractor is not entirely on the up-and-up.

Longevity matters. One of the surest indications that a base contractor provider is reliable is how long it has been in business. A contractor with history is more likely to have experience in addition to a reputation that is solid than one last year that started.

Repairing your business and the foundation of the home should be achieved by employing a contracting firm with all the skills and experience to perform the best job possible and will stand by its work. Finding a contractor that checks all of these things off is the best choice for ensuring that you don’t end up with more problems than you had initially.

How To Prevent, Detect And Repair Foundation Damage in Lousiana

We have the expertise, history, and credentials you want to get your house or business back on a solid base. Give us a call to get your project started

ACE HOUSE LEVELING’S Foundation Repair Services is the best, and we stay busy during the year, but we receive a high quantity of base repair requests throughout the summer weeks. There Are Lots of reasons for it:

Property owners have more leisure time to concentrate on major home improvements.
There is not as much precipitation during the summer, enabling us to work uninterrupted.
Though arguably the largest reason is that summer heatwaves place an enormous amount of strain on foundations.

Note that it isn’t necessarily the”warmth” itself that is causing the damage. Rather temperatures and humidity levels place added stress on the base of your home:
During the spring months, the soil tends to be wetter, permitting it to expand.

The strain can gradually build up following years of soil contraction and expansion, although the concrete used to create your foundation was made to withstand a lot of this stress. The procedure does not need to be gradual in any way. The concrete can dry out and lose much of its integrity if summer temperatures reach a certain degree. This is the reason it’s imperative you conduct periodic base inspections. This is particularly important during the summertime when dryness and temperatures pose the best dangers.

Early Warning Signs of Summer Foundation Damage
In most cases, the harm begins small. You may notice hairline fractures on floors, walls, or ceilings. Water stains and rotting drywall are also signed your house isn’t properly settling.

More signs are likely to emerge, including if you do not attend to these problems:
Doors and windows that no longer close properly.
Sagging roofs, leaning walls, and tilted chimneys.
Buckling supports, beams and girders.
Gaps wherever the wall meets the floor or ceiling.
Crumbling concrete and flaky bricks.
Leaky pipes, faulty toilets, and other pipes issues.

Sometimes the problem is completely concealed — but you can listen to it.
All homes make groaning sounds and settle with time, but when your property proceeds to make sounds nonstop, consult a foundation repair team immediately. All these types of”settling” can be exceedingly”unsettling.”

But, remember that signs of potential damage won’t necessarily come in within the house. You should periodically inspect the surrounding dirt to ensure that moisture is properly draining and keeping:

If the ground is dry after heavy rain, then this means that water is draining away too quickly.
When the soil is super moist following a dry spell, the water is not draining quickly enough.
Both of these can cause for alarm, and you need to talk a foundation repair team ASAP.

Reducing the Chance of Summer Foundation Repairs
Now that you understand the warning indications of foundation damage, what do you do to reduce their frequency and severity? There are many steps you can take to protect your home’s foundation; but during the summertime, the many effective strategies is to keep consistent humidity levels around your home. When temperatures exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit, it’s a good idea to water the foundation itself and the surrounding soil — especially if it’s made out of concrete. You do not need to sit and actually”water” the region like you would a garden. Most hardware stores sell soaker hoses that do of the work for you. Place these about 18 inches from your house and let them operate for 15 minutes if it gets dry or hot.

It is not practical, although this strategy is successful. Authorities and homeowners institutions put restrictions on water usage –, especially during the dry and hot summertime. Nevertheless, you can reduce water consumption with a few intelligent landscaping. It is a bit counterintuitive since crops need water to grow, but placing trees and bushes throughout your house allows the subterranean root systems to trap moisture — even during the hottest and driest days. After the season gets warmer and wetter, those origins absorb the water. The moisture level around your house remains consistent. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) https://www.hud.gov/sites/documents/74852C10PIHH.PDF recommends planting”no closer to the base of light building structures than the expected height of the particular plant.” Therefore ought to be implanted approximately 15 feet away from the base.

We’re Committed to Creating Satisfied Customers

Below are real reviews from some of the many customers we’ve had the pleasure of working with.

The first company I called tried to sell me a new foundation. ACE found that I had some termite damage. They replaced the damaged beams for a fraction of the price. ACE House Leveling is an honest company.

I hired Ace House Leveling after a review of 5 local contractors mostly found through Angie’s List. I was able to view some of Ace House Leveling work in progress at another job site, which gave me satisfaction in the skills and works ethic. Ace replaced seven piers, added two additional 12-foot support beams with six piers, replaced the sill along the rear of my home which had been damaged and causing sagging. Additionally, they leveled my home at the rear. They cleaned up well, and they re-positioned my patio pavers that had to be temporarily removed to dig the new footings. I am very impressed with their work ethic, and the job has been well done. All of this work only took them five days, which they worked consistently every day. They weren’t spreading their resources between multiple job sites stretching out time to completion. They truly worked hard. I’d recommend them to anyone.

We just moved to Algiers   LA, and we lucked into Ace as our foundation inspector during the preliminary phase of purchasing a new home. Brent did a thorough job and explained everything to us. Unfortunately, the first home was too damaged, and we had to move on. We called Brent again as he was so informative for our next inspection. Brent explained the minor repair work that was needed, and after closing on the new house, his brother Peyton spent four days repointing some bricks in our foundation. Peyton also worked on the crumbling mortar on the inside fireplace, fixing an older hideous looking repair job. He then took the leftover cement and fixed a railing outside and smoothed some brickwork in the back yard at no additional cost. I highly recommend Ace and Brent and Peyton in particular.

Awesome job! Used Ace House Leveling for the remodel of my house a couple of months ago, and the results were even better than I had imagined. Everyone I worked within the company was so helpful and more than a pleasure to work with. I would suggest Ace House Leveling to anyone looking to remodel or repair the foundation of their house.

Rebecca came and did my estimate and answered all my questions and helped me better understand my foundation. Very reasonable pricing. She followed up and was very friendly and courteous. It was a humbling experience dealing with them. They were very understanding.

Great experience with ACE House Leveling, Rebecca was very kind, personable, and honest. She didn’t try to upsell us on anything and told us we didn’t need any work done. Instead told us about several great preventative measures that we can take to avoid future foundation issues. Should we have any future foundation issues, we will be using ACE House Leveling and will recommend them to everyone we know!

I Called ace House Leveling to inspect my foundation due to seeing some cracks forming in the drywall of one of my rooms. They arrived on time, was extremely professional, and was completely honest about what he found…which luckily in my case was not a foundation issue. Not everyone will be as lucky, He could have easily said there was an issue, and with my lack of knowledge, I wouldn’t have had much to argue with. It’s difficult to find a trustworthy contractor to tell you what needs to be done, even harder to find a company with that kind of work ethic. While I am blessed, for the time being, highly suggest this company be at the top of your list as one to diagnose your issue.
